Close Friends is an Instagram feature that lets users share private Stories with a selected group of followers.
Close Friends is a feature on platforms like Instagram and Facebook that lets you share content with a select group of people instead of all your followers. It's like having a VIP section of your social media where only certain people get access to more personal content.
This feature gives you more control over your privacy while still letting you share moments with the people who matter most to you. Content shared with Close Friends is usually marked with a green indicator so recipients know it's more exclusive.
1. You manually select which followers belong in your Close Friends list
2. Only people on this list can see content you mark as "Close Friends only"
3. Those included won't be notified they've been added (or removed)
4. You can update your list anytime by adding or removing people
It’s easy! Go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top right, and choose “Close Friends.” Add the people you want on your list—you can change it anytime.
When you post a Story, choose “Close Friends” before sharing. It’ll have a green ring, so only your selected friends can see it.
